Chief Adviser condemns Lama arson.
Interim government has strongly condemned the arson incident in the houses of Tripura community in Lama upazila of Bandarban. At the same time, all sorts of assistance have been ordered including the reconstruction of the houses burnt in the arson.
In a message from the press wing of the Chief Adviser on Thursday, it condemned the arson incident and said that police officials have gone to the spot and security arrangements have been strengthened there. A police operation is underway to arrest the criminals.
The message also said that a case has been filed over the incident. The Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban, and the Superintendent of Police are going to Tangjhiri today to inspect the spot.
Headquartered Police, on December 25 midnight, unidentified miscreants set ablaze 16 houses of Christian Tripuras in Tangjhiri Tripura Para of Lama police station, causing an estimated loss of about 4 lakh 80 thousand taka.
