Suzuki Motors Chairman Osamu Suzuki has died.
Osamu Suzuki, chairman of world-renowned Japanese car and motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki Motors, has died. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital Tokyo on December 25. In a statement, Suzuki Motors said that the 94-year-old Osamu passed away after suffering from lymphoma.
Osamu Suzuki was regarded as the most intelligent and wise businessman and industrialist of his time. According to a report published by the British news agency Reuters, it was mainly because of his far-reaching commercial plans that the automobile was the first to reach the middle class.
It is said that the first car, especially for people with limited budgets in India and Bangladesh, would have been impossible for Maruti-Suzuki to enter the market if he had not been behind it. He was among those industrialists who wanted to deliver the best products at the lowest prices. Till today, Suzuki’s main customers have been the middle class.
