Case filed for rape of 6-year-old child in Madaripur

A case has been filed for the rape of a 6-year-old child studying in the first grade in Shibchar, Madaripur. The rape incident took place on Monday (December 8) afternoon.
According to police and local sources, yesterday afternoon, Mithun Majumder (25), son of Bishnu Majumder of the same area, found the 6-year-old child of a daily laborer in Dattapara Union of Shibchar Upazila on his way home from school, scared him, forcibly picked him up from the road and took him to his house. He then raped him there and left him in the afternoon.
After the child returned home, the family members could guess the matter by looking at his physical condition. Later, after hearing the incident from the child, he was admitted to the Shibchar Upazila Health Complex for immediate treatment.
Meanwhile, after the incident came to light in the area, there was intense anger among the locals. The locals thrashed the accused Mithun Majumder. Upon receiving the information, Shibchar Police Station reached the spot and rescued the accused from the mob, arrested him and took him into custody. The victim’s family filed a case with Shibchar Police Station that night. Shibchar Police Station OC Md. Shafiqul Islam said that a case has been filed by the victim’s family in this incident. The child has been admitted to the hospital. The accused has been sent to court.
