Businessman slits throat after entering shop in Mohanganj

A businessman named Narayan Pal (40) was slit throat after entering a shop about 150 yards away from Mohanganj police station in Netrokona.
The murder took place at around 11:15 pm on Monday (October 6) in the Bashundhara More area of ​​Thana Road in Daulatpur, the city.
It is learnt that the deceased Narayan Pal is the son of Nripendra Pal of Rautpara area of ​​the city. He used to run a grocery shop called ‘Narayan Store’ adjacent to Islami Bank in the Bashundhara More area of ​​Thana Road.
Immediately after the incident, police officials including Mohanganj Police Station OC Aminul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) MA Quader and others visited the spot.
Police and locals told us that Narayan Pal’s grocery shop is located about 150 meters from Bashundhara More police station on Thana Road in Daulatpur, Mohanganj Municipality. A customer saw Narayan Pal’s body with his throat slit inside the shop at around 11:15 pm last Monday. Later, on receiving information, the police recovered the body from the spot.
Mohanganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aminul Islam said, “The autopsy report of the body has been prepared. CCTV footage of various establishments around the shop is being examined.”
He said, “The body was sent to Netrokona Sadar Hospital for autopsy this Tuesday morning. A person named Golap has been arrested in this incident and interrogation is underway. Appropriate legal action will be taken.”
