Businessman killed in head-on collision between bus and motorcycle

A fish trader named Dilip Roy (28) was killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a motorcycle in Kalapara, Patuakhali.
The accident occurred at around 7 am today (January 24) in the Chalimpur area of ​​the Kalapara-Kuakata highway in Nilganj Union. The deceased Dilip is a resident of Neyamatpur village in the union. His father’s name is Debesh Roy. He earned his living by driving a pickup truck in addition to his fishing business.
According to police and local sources, Dilip Roy was going to the fish market in the Kalapara intersection area from his house on his motorcycle in the morning. At that time, when he reached the Chalimpur area, his motorcycle collided head-on with a long-distance bus named Seven Deluxe coming from the opposite direction. He died on the spot.
Kalapara Police Station OC Rabiul Islam said that the deceased bus has been seized. The body has been recovered and brought to the police station. Further legal action is being taken. It is worth noting that two more people have died in bus accidents on this road in the last 48 hours.
