Businessman dies after being hit by truck in Chuadanga

A businessman named Abdur Razzak was killed in a truck accident in Alamdanga, Chuadanga. The accident occurred at Pashuhat Tiger Intersection in Alamdanga Municipality area on Wednesday (August 27) afternoon. The deceased Abdur Razzak (45) is the son of Rahman Ali of Housepur village in Alamdanga upazila. He had been trading bicycles in Alamdanga Bazar for a long time. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Alamdanga Police Station Masudur Rahman said that a truck was heading towards Tiger Intersection from Pashuhat at noon. Suddenly, the truck’s brakes failed and the driver lost control and ran over Abdur Razzak, who was standing on the side of the road. He died on the spot. He also said, “Efforts are being made to arrest the truck driver and helper. A case is under process at the police station in this incident. The body will be handed over to the family according to legal procedures.”
