Bus on fire in Savar

A bus parked in Savar was set on fire by miscreants. The incident took place on the service lane of Gendaya Municipality area on Dhaka-Aricha Highway on Saturday night (December 13). However, no casualties were reported. Savar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arman Ali confirmed the matter.
Meherul Islam, warehouse inspector of Savar Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, said that after receiving information about the fire in the bus at 11 pm, two units of Savar Fire Service quickly reached the spot and brought the burning bus under control. By then, the bus was burnt down.
Police said, “The bus was transporting workers of a shoe factory called Ten Su from Savar to Aukpara. No owner or driver of the bus was found on the spot.” Members of Savar Model Police Station, Savar Highway Police and Detective Branch Police visited the scene but could not confirm who set the fire.
