Bus loses control and falls into ditch in Comilla, 2 dead
Two people were killed and 5 injured when a passenger bus hit an auto-rickshaw in Daudkandi, Comilla. The accident occurred in the Jinlatoli area of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway on Sunday (February 15) afternoon.
Locals said that a Noakhali-bound passenger bus hit a battery-powered auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction and lost control and fell into a ditch on the side of the road.
Upon receiving the information, fire service personnel quickly rescued the injured from the scene and took them to the Gouripur Health Complex. The doctor on duty then declared the 2 people dead. Gouripur Upazila Health Officer Habibur Rahman confirmed the deaths.
