Brother killed by brother over land dispute

A brother killed another brother over a land dispute in Chunarughat, Habiganj. The incident took place on Sunday (September 21) night in the Khamarbari area of ​​Ghargaon village of the upazila.
The deceased has been identified as Shafiq Mia (35). He is the son of the deceased Sayeed Ali of the village.
According to local sources, Shafiq Mia and his brothers had been having a land dispute for a long time. As a result, his other brothers attacked Shafiq Mia with sharp weapons last Sunday night. Locals tried to rescue him in a serious condition and take him to the hospital, but he died on the way.
Tension prevailed at the scene after the incident. Police have taken up positions in the village to bring the situation under control and are conducting a drive to arrest those involved in the incident.
