Bottled soybean oil supply reduced

The supply of bottled soybean oil has reduced in various parts of the country, including the capital. Retailers are facing problems due to a high shortage of 1 and 2 liter bottles. They said that there are signs of price increase at the dealer level.
The supply of bottled soybean oil has been relatively low for a month. However, the situation has become clearer in the last few days. While 5 liter bottles are available in many areas, 1 and 2 liter bottles are very limited.
Shopkeepers say that less oil is coming from companies. At the same time, the trend of over-buying due to the situation in the Middle East has also put pressure on the market. Meanwhile, the price of open soybean and palm oil in the wholesale market has increased by about five taka per kg.
