Bodies of two children found in a pond the day after they went missing

The bodies of two children were recovered from a dirty pond in Mymensingh the day after they went missing. The two bodies were recovered from next to a house in the Dapunia Kawalti area on Sunday (July 13) morning. Relatives said that on Saturday (July 12) morning, local Asaduzzaman Rubel’s 5-year-old child Rejuan Ahmed and Arif Rabbani’s 4-year-old son Muhammad Hossain were playing in front of the house. They were not seen anywhere since 11 am. Later, they could not be found in various places throughout the day. On Sunday morning, everyone rushed to see the children’s shoes floating in a dirty pond near the house. Later, the two bodies were recovered from there. The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the area. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station Shibirul Islam confirmed the recovery of the bodies.
