BNP will rehabilitate martyrs’ families if it comes to power: Mirza Fakhrul

If reforms do not benefit the people, then those reforms will be of no use, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. He said that if BNP comes to power, initiatives will be taken to rehabilitate martyrs’ families. He said this at a program organized by ‘Mayer Dak’ in Banani, the capital, on Tuesday (July 29). Mirza Fakhrul said that with the change in the political landscape, many have occupied good positions, become ministers, and have taken over businesses, but no one has looked at those who sacrificed their lives. He complained that the government has not done much for children or for the rehabilitation of martyrs’ families. At this time, he expressed hope that the government will take initiatives for rehabilitation. Mirza Fakhrul also said that I do not know whether I will be able to return those who have disappeared, but there is an opportunity to do something for the affected families. If nothing is done for them, everyone will be responsible. Regarding the missing members, he further said that although the Disappearance Commission submitted a report, there has been no significant progress in finding the missing.
