BNP will provide employment to 1 crore people within 18 months if it comes to power, says Amir Khasru

BNP will provide employment to 1 crore people within 18 months if it comes to power, said Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the party’s standing committee. He said this in response to questions from journalists who visited the puja mandap of Ranada Prasad Sahar’s house in Mirzapur, Tangail on Wednesday (October 1) evening.
Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said, “We have undertaken a very big task. If the people give us their verdict in the election, then we have decided to provide employment to 1 crore people within 18 months to create new employment and replace jobs lost in the industrial sector. We have worked in detail on how much self-employment there will be in which sector. How it will be implemented has also been decided.”
He said, “The people of the country are waiting for an elected government. Those who have a responsibility to the people will be accountable.”
Regarding elections under the PR system, the BNP standing committee member said, “Anyone can ask for the PR system, it is their right. But it is not a matter for BNP to give, nor does any other party have anything to give. If someone wants something, they also have the right to ask for something beyond what we have agreed on. To do that, we have to go to the people and come to parliament with the mandate of the people in the next elections.”
Amir Khasru Mahmud was welcomed by Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal and Kumudini Hospital Director Dr. Pradeep Kumar Roy and others from the Kumudini authorities.
BNP National Executive Committee Children’s Affairs Secretary and former MP Abul Kalam Azad Siddiqui, BNP National Executive Committee Co-Cultural Affairs Secretary Saidur Rahman Said Sohrab, Tangail District BNP President Hasanajumil Shaheen, General Secretary Advocate Farhad Iqbal, Mirzapur Upazila BNP Acting President Advocate Abdur Rouf, Municipal BNP President Hazrat Ali Mia, Upazila BNP General Secretary Khandaker Salauddin Arif, Municipal BNP General Secretary SM Mohsin and others were present at the event.
