BNP-Jamaat supporters clash in Bhola, 5 injured

A clash took place between BNP and Jamaat supporters over a victory rally in Bhola. At least 5 people were injured in the incident. The incident took place in the Velumia area of ​​Sadar upazila on Tuesday (December 16) night. Both sides have filed counter-complaints about the incident.
Jamaat’s Velumia Bazar branch Amir Mohammad Mominer said that two BNP and Jamaat workers had an argument over the victory rally yesterday morning. Later in the evening, tension arose again between supporters of both sides over this incident. At that time, BNP attacked several shops of Jamaat supporters.
Meanwhile, Union BNP President Yunus Commander alleged that they were holding a victory rally yesterday evening. At that time, Jamaat supporters threw bricks and stones at them. Three BNP workers were injured in the clash between both sides. He also claimed that no shop was vandalized at that time. Police said that after receiving information, joint forces reached the spot and brought the situation under control. However, neither side filed a complaint with the police station.
