BNP announces candidates for 237 seats

BNP is announcing candidates for 237 seats. The announcement was made at a press conference held after the party’s national standing committee meeting at the chairperson’s political office in Gulshan today, Monday (November 3). BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul is announcing the names of the nominated candidates. The party’s central leaders are present at the press conference.
Over the past few months, the BNP acting chairman has conducted at least 5 surveys in 300 seats to finalize the party’s candidate list. After that, he has taken the opinion of the organizational party. Wherever a major crisis has arisen, he has tried to resolve it by discussing it with the potential candidates himself or through the standing committee members. Most recently, Tarique Rahman held a meeting with the potential candidates for 300 seats at the BNP chairperson’s political office on October 26 and 27.
Last October, BNP was supposed to announce a single candidate for more or less 200 seats. The party’s national standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed also said the same. But the single candidate list was not published until yesterday, November 2.
