BNP agrees to hold referendum on election day: Amir Khasru
Party standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said that BNP has no objection to holding a referendum on the day of the parliamentary elections. He attended a seminar organized by the Travel Forum in Chittagong city on Friday (November 14) morning and made the statement while talking to journalists about recent developments.
On the same day, BNP leaders urged everyone not to waste time arguing about the government’s decisions on elections and referendums. Amir Khasru called for handing over the country to a government elected through votes. He hopes that power will be handed over to a government that will be accountable to the people. According to him, the country now has an impartial judiciary. Therefore, the judiciary will look into the verdict in the crimes against humanity case against Sheikh Hasina for genocide in July.
