Barsha-Mahir planned to kill Jobayed since September 25
Student Barsha and her boyfriend Mahir Rahman planned to kill Jagannath University (JU) student and Chhatra Dal leader Jobayed Hossain. Police said they had been planning this since September 25.
Bangshal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam gave this information on Tuesday (October 21) morning.
He said, “On the day of the murder, Mahir had two other friends with him. They had bought two new switch gears for the murder. Mahir used a knife at random. And Barsha asked Mahir to kill him.”
Referring to this planned murder of Barsha and Mahir, the OC told us,
“Barsha had a 9-year relationship with Mahir. But sometimes Barsha became weak towards Jobayed. At that time, Barsha rejected Mahir and said that she liked Jobayed. But after a few days, her boyfriend told Mahir that Jobayed no longer liked her. Then Barsha and Mahir planned to kill Jobayed.”
At first, Barsha did not admit to this plan to kill Jobayed, Rafiqul Islam said. He said, “Later when Mahir and Barsha were confronted, they told the whole truth. They had been planning how to remove Jobayed since September 25. So far, four people, including Barsha, have been arrested. Final preparations for the case are underway.”
It is worth noting that Jobayed Hossain was a student of the university’s statistics department in the 2019-20 academic year. At the same time, he was the president of the Comilla District Student Welfare Association and the convener of the committee. Chhatra Dal branch.
For the past one year, Jobayed Hossain used to teach physics, chemistry and biology to a student named Barsha at a house called Rawshan Villa located at 15, Nurbox Lane, Armanitola, Old Dhaka. The student’s father’s name is Giasuddin.
Last Sunday (October 19) at approximately 4:45 pm, she was murdered on the third floor stairs of her house. Blood was seen on the stairs from the ground floor to the third floor. Jobayed was seen lying face down on the third floor stairs.
Later, the students set fire to Bangshal Police Station and protested demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. They also blocked Tanti Bazar intersection.
Later, around 11 pm last Sunday, the police took the student Barsha into custody. After lengthy interrogation, the police took the student into custody. At 11pm that night, he was taken in a car from his home on Nurbox Road in Armanitola under police protocol. On Monday (October 20), Jobayed was buried in his village home.
