Bangladesh’s sovereignty is not under any threat: Home Affairs Advisor.

Retired Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home Affairs Advisor to the interim government, has said that Bangladesh’s sovereignty is not under any threat.

The Home Affairs Advisor made this comment in response to questions from journalists after the inaugural ceremony of International Volunteer Day 2024 at the Multipurpose Training Ground of Fire Service and Civil Defense in Purbachal, Narayanganj on Thursday morning.

Incidentally, on December 2, during the Question and Answer Session of the winter session of the Legislative Assembly, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of India called for sending members of the United Nations peacekeeping force to Bangladesh if necessary. For this, she has sought the personal intervention of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

When asked about Mamata Banerjee’s comments on sending peacekeepers to Bangladesh, she said, “I think peacekeepers are needed in India.” He may have forgotten to send peacekeepers to Bangladesh.’

The Home Affairs Advisor said, ‘Indian media has engaged in propaganda against Bangladesh to a negligible extent. Only Bangladeshi media can respond to it.’

He also believes that the call for national unity that has been given in the country at present will have a positive response in confronting the conspiracy and maintaining order in the country.
