Bangladeshi killed in Indian truck hit

A Bangladeshi pedestrian named Abdul Kader (65) was killed in an Indian truck hit at the Sonamasjid land port in Chapainawabganj. The accident occurred at around 10:30 am today (January 11) in the Madhyabazar area of ​​the land port. The deceased Abdul Kader is the son of Kalu Sheikh of Baliadighi village of Sonamasjid. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter.
He said that Kabir Ali was crossing the road in the Madhyabazar area of ​​the Sonamasjid land port this morning. At that time, an Indian truck coming from behind hit him. He was seriously injured and died on the way to the Shibganj Upazila Health Complex after being rescued by locals.
After the accident, local residents chased and arrested the killer truck and its driver. The arrested driver is named Md. Hamzu Sheikh. He is the son of the deceased Bhikkhu Sheikh of Shuknagar village of Kaliachak police station in Malda district of West Bengal. The agitated crowd immediately protested, but the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The OC also said, “The accused Indian truck driver will be arrested if the family of the deceased files a case.”
