    Bangladesh beat West Indies by 10 wickets

    Bangladesh defeated the West Indies by a huge margin of 10 wickets in the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. Batting first, the Caribbeans could only score 54 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in a match reduced to 13 overs due to rain. In reply, the Tigress Youth snatched the victory by scoring 55 runs for no wickets in 8.5 overs.

    Bangladesh captain Sumaiya Akhtar won the toss and decided to field in the Group One match of the Super Six at the Bayumas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday. However, the Windies could not do much in the match reduced to 13 overs due to heavy rain. They lost wickets one after another due to the dominance of Bangladesh bowlers. Amrita Ramtahal remained unbeaten on 16 runs. Naijanni Cumberbatch also scored 13 runs.

    Nishita Akhtar Nishi took 3 wickets. And Anisa Akhtar Soba took 2 wickets.

    Batting at a target of 55 runs, Bangladesh won the match without a wicket in the ninth over thanks to the determination of both openers. Fahomida Choa remained unbeaten on 14 and Juairia Ferdous on 25.
