Awami League torch procession in Fatikchhari

‎Some leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliates held a torch procession in Fatikchhari, Chittagong. They held this procession in the Nanupur area of ​​the upazila on Sunday night (November 30).
‎According to police and local sources, 10 to 12 leaders and activists started the procession from the Lailkabir College area of ​​Nanupur at night. The procession was led by an expatriate Awami League leader named Zahid. He was accompanied by various leaders and activists of the banned Awami League and Jubo League. They left within a few minutes after finishing the procession.
‎‎Some videos of the procession have also been circulated on social media. The video shows expatriate Zahid leading the torch procession holding a banner. Some people in the procession were wearing helmets. In addition, some people took part in the procession by covering their faces with cloths.
Fatikchhari Police Station OC Noor Ahmed confirmed the procession and said, “After the incident spread on social media, we conducted a drive and arrested two Chhatra League activists named Hridoy and Ershad. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest the participants in the procession by watching the video.”
