Awami League leader Pintu arrested from his second wife’s house

Abdul Wadud Pintu, president of the Noakhali Municipality Awami League branch and former chairman of the district council, was arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) on Monday (September 22). Sudharam police station’s officer-in-charge, Mohammad Kamrul Islam, confirmed the arrest in the afternoon. He stated that a team of DB police arrested Abdul Wadud Pintu in Dhaka. He has a pending case related to explosives at Sudharam police station. Earlier, on Sunday night, a team of DB police arrested Pintu from his second wife’s rented apartment in the Dhanmondi area of ​​Dhaka. It is worth noting that Pintu’s home is located in Krishnarampur, Ward No. 4 of Noakhali Municipality. Investigations revealed that he had been in hiding since August 5, after the fall of the Awami League government.
