Awami League wanted to destroy all other parties: GM Quader
Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad (GM) Quader said that Awami League wanted to destroy all parties to establish one-party rule.
He said this while addressing the joint meeting of the party chairman’s advisory council and the party’s vice chairmen at the JAPA chairman’s Banani office auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
GM Quader said, “Sheikh Hasina wanted to establish a one-party rule in the country. For that reason, Awami League formed the “B” team with Awami League in the 2024 elections. A few political parties were also formed for the same purpose. I made that complaint in Parliament and outside Parliament. Before the election, on the day of the election and after the election, I said in Parliament. The Awami League government wants to destroy all parties to establish a one-party rule.
JAPA Chairman said, “BNP wanted to be destroyed with attacks and cases”. Hundreds of cases were filed against their activists. Again, Jamaat-e-Islami was not allowed to stand in the field. Jamaat also wanted to finish with attacks and lawsuits. And, they want to destroy the Jatiya Party by dividing it into two. Since 2014, Awami League has created artificial division within the Jatiya Party.
He said, ‘Another National Party was created completely illegally with the help of opportunistic, opportunistic and outcast leaders of the National Party. The purpose of this party was to take a stand against the main Jatiya Party in support of the Awami League government using the Jatiya Party banner and logo. All the activities of the government-sponsored Awami League broker circle were supported by the law enforcement agencies and all the pro-government media. Their job was to spread propaganda against the main national party.
GM Quader said, “Students have freed the country from tyranny by shedding fresh blood on the streets. The students gave their lives to make the student uprising a success. Almost all parties, including the National Party, actively participated in this movement. The number of these young voters is about 4 crores. The youth will make an outstanding contribution to the politics of the future. In 2024, our youths have clearly demonstrated that they understand politics well. Politics should be done keeping in mind the thoughts and expectations of the youth in the coming days.
He said, “We have been with the students since the beginning of their anti-discrimination movement. On July 1, the students officially started their agitation. I announced my support for the students’ movement in a speech before the then Prime Minister in Parliament on July 3. As we have said, students’ anti-discrimination movement is logical. Quota system in employment is unconstitutional. That’s when I said, the people of the country are ready to accept any sacrifice against discrimination.
Golam Mohammad Raju was present among the vice chairmen. Nazrul Islam, Shafiqul Islam Madhu, Sheikh Alamgir Hossain, Sultan Ahmed Salim, Pir Fazlur Rahman Mizbah, SM Golam Shaheed Ranju, Md. Saiful Islam Swapan, Md. Abu Salek, Ahmed Shafi Rubel, Shariful Islam Saru Chowdhury, Lutfur Reza Khokon.
