Awami League allies are playing murder game: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that Awami League allies are playing murder game to create anarchy in the country. He made this allegation in a statement sent to the media on Wednesday (August 27). Mirza Fakhrul made this statement after expressing deep concern over the murder of Khabir Uddin Sarkar, joint convener of Barakandi Union BNP and former president of Barakandi Union Krishak Dal, in Jajira Upazila of Shariatpur on Tuesday. He said, “Although the Awami League fascist government fell in the student-public movement, their allies are still involved in conspiring to create anarchy in the country. They are involved in a deep conspiracy.” The conspirators are unable to accept the historic victory of the students and the people in any way, so in the current fascism-free situation, they have indulged in a demonic and thrilling game of murder and destruction across the country. Although people have been saved from violence worse than animals and the terrible Awami regime, the country is still not completely safe, he said, “The conspiring Awami miscreants are desperate to destabilize the country through killing and destruction. That is why they are attacking the people and opposition leaders and activists and killing them viciously. The brutal murder of Khabir Uddin Sarkar, joint convener of Barakandi Union BNP and former president of Barakandi Union Krishak Dal, in Jajira Upazila yesterday is a brutal manifestation of that.” Calling for strict action against terrorists, the BNP Secretary General said, “There is no alternative to this. The interim government must take strict steps to suppress terrorists. Otherwise, the country will again become unstable due to the influence of terrorists. Therefore, everyone, regardless of party affiliation, must be vigilant so that the conspirators do not benefit by following the path of attack and bloodshed. Only then will real democracy, good governance and security of people’s lives and property be ensured in the country.” In a statement, Mirza Fakhrul Khabir Uddin Sarkar demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the criminals who killed him. He prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased’s soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and relatives. In another statement, Nationalist Farmers’ Party-Central Parliament President Krishibid Hasan Zafir Tuhin and General Secretary Shahidul Islam Babul strongly condemned and protested the brutal murder of Khabir Uddin Sarkar. They demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the terrorists.
