Autorickshaw hijacked, driver stabbed.
An autorickshaw driver was stabbed and robbed in the capital. The injured driver has been identified as Md. Rakib (20).
The robbery took place in the Gausia Market area of New Market in the capital on Monday night.
Ruhul Amin Khan Rana, a passerby, rescued him and brought him to DMCH for treatment at night.
He said, “Around 10 pm, the robbers stabbed him, left him on the road and took his autorickshaw.”
Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said, “The injured rickshaw driver is undergoing treatment in the emergency department. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.”
It is worth noting that rickshaw driver Rakib’s village is in Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj. He currently lives in Roni Market area of Kamrangirchar.
