Aunt killed, niece injured in Joypurhat attack

A group of miscreants attacked two women at home in Joypurhat in the dark of night. The aunt was killed in the incident and the niece is admitted to Shajimech Hospital in Bogra with serious injuries. Police reached the spot at 10 am today (December 3) and recovered the bodies after preparing the autopsy report.
Relatives said that Nur Nahar Begum was sleeping with her niece Khadija in her house in Chirla village of Joypurhat Sadar Upazila. The miscreants entered her house around 4 am and hit her with a tube well handle. Later, they were taken to the 250-bed Joypurhat General Hospital in serious injuries and the doctor on duty sent both of them to Shajimech Hospital in Bogra. Aunt Nur Nahar Begum died on the way. Niece Khadija is undergoing treatment at Shajimech Hospital.
Joypurhat Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Arif Hossain told us that the mystery of the murder is still unknown. The body was recovered and sent to the morgue of the 250-bed Joypurhat General Hospital.
