Attack on the movement, former councilor arrested

Police have arrested Md. Russell Uddin, a former councilor of Ward 8 of Satkania Municipality in Chittagong and personal assistant to fugitive MP Nadvir, on charges of attacking the anti-discrimination movement. He was arrested from the city’s Kotwali police station area on Saturday (July 12) night. Russell Uddin is accused of attacking students and the public during the anti-discrimination movement. He has been in hiding for a long time. In this regard, Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Karim said that Russell Uddin has been arrested as an accused in the anti-discrimination movement case. He will be sent to court after the legal process.
