At least 10 injured in clash between two BNP factions in Jhenaidah

At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two BNP factions over dominance in Fursandi village of Jhenaidah Sadar. Two of the injured have been admitted to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital and the rest have returned home after receiving primary treatment. The clash took place on Thursday (November 27) morning.
Police and locals said that there had been a long-standing social dispute between supporters of BNP leader Shahabur Molla and Zahid Biswas in the village. Due to this, there have been several fights between the two factions recently.
This morning, a clash broke out between Shahabur Molla’s supporter Al-Amin and Zahid Biswas’ supporter Firoz over a family dispute. At least 10 people from both sides were injured during this time. Two houses were vandalized.
Later, after receiving information, the police and the army reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station OC Abdullah Al Mamun said that the situation is under control. Additional police have been deployed in the area.
