Army raids in Mohammadpur, 6 arrested along with huge quantity of drugs
Six drug dealers have been arrested in a raid by the army in the capital’s Mohammadpur. 10,000 pieces of yaba, marijuana, heroin, foreign liquor, domestic weapons and cash for drug sales were recovered in the raid.
On Wednesday (January 21), raids were conducted from 1 am to 4 am in the capital’s Adabor Sunibid Housing and Mohammadpur’s Geneva Camp areas.
In the first phase, 6 people were arrested. During this time, 30 pieces of yaba tablets, 39 SIM cards and 2 large sharp samurai knives were recovered from them. Later, according to their information, a huge quantity of drugs and drug sales worth 2 lakh 15 thousand taka were recovered in the Geneva Camp raid.
The army said that the process of handing over the detainees to Mohammadpur and Adabor police stations for legal action is underway. The army said that such raids will continue to maintain law and order and eradicate drugs.
