Army member Masud Rana, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Sudan, mourns at his home in Natore

The family of Corporal Masud Rana, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Sudan, is mourning in the remote village of Boaliapara in Lalpur upazila of Natore. His wife Asmaul Husna Akhie and mother Marjina Begum are crying helplessly. Masud’s 8-year-old only daughter Magfiratul Mawa Amina is also shocked. Masud has been serving in the army for almost 18 years. He went to Sudan to join the UN peacekeeping mission just a month and 7 days ago. His neighbors are also expressing grief over his death.
Meanwhile, the names of the army personnel killed and injured in the terrorist attack on the UN base in Sudan have been released. This information was given in a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Bangladesh today (December 14) Sunday (December 14). The deceased peacekeepers are Corporal Md. Masud Rana (Natore), Soldier Md. Mominul Islam and Soldier Shanto Mandal (Kurigram), Soldier Shamim Reza (Rajbari), Mess Waiter Md. Jahangir Alam (Kishoreganj) and Laundry Worker Md. Sabuj Mia (Gigi).
The injured are Lieutenant Colonel Khondaker Khalequzzaman (Kushtia), Sergeant Md. Mostakim Hossain (Dinajpur), Corporal Afroza Parvin Iti (Dhaka), Lance Corporal Mohibul Islam (Barguna), Soldier Md. Mejbaul Kabir (Kurigram), Soldier Md. Umme Hani Akhter (Rangpur), Soldier Chumki Akhter (Manikganj), Soldier Md. Manazir Ahsan (Noakhali).
