Army Chief leaves for Malaysia

Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman left for Malaysia on a four-day official visit to attend the 14th Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Staff Conference-2025. He left Dhaka for Malaysia today, Monday (September 22).
The conference, jointly organized by the US Indo-Pacific Command and the Malaysian Defence Forces, will see the chiefs of the land forces of the Indo-Pacific region participating and discussing ways to strengthen friendship and cooperation, exchange views on addressing common challenges, and take coordinated action in regional crises.
It is hoped that the relations between the Indo-Pacific countries and the Bangladesh Army will further strengthen and the potential for mutual cooperation will increase. After the visit, the army chief will return to Bangladesh on September 27.
