April 9: What is the price of a 22-carat gold bar?

After two rounds of increases, the price of gold has decreased in the domestic market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of a 22-carat gold bar by Tk 4,432. In this, the price of a 22-carat gold bar has been fixed at Tk 2,47,977.
BAJUS announced this information in a notification on Thursday (April 9) morning. The new price will be effective from 10 am today. BAJUS said that the price of pure gold in the local market has decreased. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, the price of a 22-carat gold bar (11.664 grams) in the domestic market will be Tk 2,47,977. The price of a 21-carat gold bar has been fixed at Tk 2,36,720. In addition, the price of 18-carat gold in a bar has been fixed at Tk 2,2848 and the price of traditional gold has been fixed at Tk 1,65,386.
