Anti-Trump protests heat up in Washington

The US capital, Washington DC, has become a violent place in the protests against Donald Trump. In addition, protests have also spread to Chicago, the largest city in the state of Illinois. Protesters have gathered in these two largest cities of the country against the president’s anti-illegal immigration campaign and military deployment. Protesters have called Trump’s actions ‘dictatorship’. The US president has even been compared to ‘Hitler and Stalin’. Once again, the people of the United States have become angry against Donald Trump. Thousands of people have taken to the streets of the capital, Washington DC and Chicago, due to dissatisfaction with the anti-immigrant campaign and military deployment. It can be seen that a procession with national flags, posters and banners has been taken out on the streets near the White House in the capital. Slogans were chanted to the beat of musical instruments. The streets were filled with sounds like ‘Trump must go now’ and ‘Free DC’. Despite fierce resistance from the police, the protesters did not retreat. Americans will not accept any dictatorship – they have made it clear. The US president has also been compared to Hitler and Stalin for his abuse of power. “I am here to protest the occupation of Washington. We are against authoritarian rule, we must remove the federal police and the National Guard from our city,” said one of the protesters. “I can see the impact of the military deployment in the capital. My students are afraid to come to school. The residents here do not want this. It is time for the police occupation to end.” The people of Chicago are also angry at Trump’s decision to deploy the military. According to them, Trump’s threat will affect not only immigrants, but all residents. Businesses are collapsing. Everything is being damaged. People are scared. For months, the US immigration agency – ICE – has been conducting massive search operations in various cities to detain illegal immigrants. The National Guard has been deployed in various places, including the capital. However, ordinary residents are also being harassed and arrested. This has resulted in unprecedented protests.
