Ansar will be a symbol of people’s trust – Director General.
Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud said, “We have to make Ansar a symbol of the grassroots people’s trust through socio-economic development. Members of the VDP must be developed as true volunteers in the reconstruction of the country.” It is vital for the members of VDP to have a clear idea about the capability of the force in establishing a non-discriminatory welfare state.
Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the 49th founding anniversary and VDP Day ceremony of the Village Defense Force (VDP) yesterday, Sunday. At that time, he greeted the officers and employees of the force and urged everyone to work unitedly in light of the force’s ongoing reforms and modern policies.
Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud also said that the members have to dedicate themselves to improving their skills in the new syllabus and training policy. The areas of cooperation have already been identified with different ministries and institutions aimed at strengthening the Ansar-VDP club-based cooperative activities toward social and economic prosperity of the VDP members. The unique example of this reform program is the VDP Basic Training Force launched for small ethnic groups. It opened a whole new window of possibilities toward the path of establishing a nondiscriminatory society by amalgamating all sectors of the nation.
A national rally has been scheduled on February 12 in regard to founding anniversary of Ansar Force. The official inauguration of the rally was announced on the day of VDP founding anniversary yesterday. A rally was taken out under the leadership of Director General on this occasion. Additional Director General of the Force, Brigadier General Fida Mahmud, along with officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.
