Another fight is coming: Nahid

Nahid Islam, the convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP), has warned that another fight is coming. He made this call while joining the NCP’s road meeting in Munshiganj on Friday (July 18) afternoon. Stating that he wants the people of Munshiganj to stand by him in the fight to build a new Bangladesh, Nahid said, “There was an attack in Gopalganj, but we cannot be suppressed even if there are attacks in 10 more places.” The NCP convener assured to work to stop various irregularities including river erosion and illegal sand grabbing in Munshiganj. Calling for resistance in the neighborhoods, he said, “The fight against fascism and Mujibism will continue.” Nahid Islam also promised to ensure the voting rights of expatriate brothers and sisters in the elections. Commenting that the country is not yet independent, Sarjis said at the meeting, “The country will not be independent unless fascism is eradicated.” Not only in Gopalganj, but wherever there are fascist terrorists, everyone must unite and resist. Calling for bringing those planning to kill from outside the country to justice, the NCP leader said, “Hasina must be tried. I want to die seeing her death sentence.” At the meeting, NCP’s southern chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah said, “There is a domestic and foreign conspiracy going on. Everyone must unite and confront it.” Calling on all political parties to remain united against fascism, he said, “We must build a policy-based state, not a leader-based one.” Hasnat also warned that they will gather at the National Shaheed Minar on August 3 next month and collect the July Declaration.
