Anisul-Salman-Inu-Menon-Palak arrested in new case.
A Dhaka court has granted an application to show the arrest of eight individuals, including private industry and investment advisor to the former Prime Minister Salman F Rahman, in new cases filed by four different police stations in Dhaka. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akhter issued the order after hearing on Monday.
Accused who were shown to have been arrested include former Law Minister Anisul Haque, JSD President and former Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Bangladesh Workers Party President and former Minister Rashed Khan Menon, former ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former IGP of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Major General-retd- Ziaul Ahsan, former MP, Md. Sadeq Khan. They were produced from jail before the court on show of arrest.
The court has shown the arrest of Salman F. Rahman, Anisul Haque, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, and Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun in the case of the murder of Jisan in the Jatrabari police station area during the anti-discrimination movement.
Additional accused include Junaid Ahmed Palak in the case of the attempted murder of student Muhammad Shamim in the New Market police station area and former MP Sadek Khan in the case of the murder of Shahriar Hossain Rokon in the Mohammadpur police station area. At the same time, Ziaul Ahsan has been shown arrested in another case of Mohammadpur police station.
