Anisul, Salman and Dipu Moni arrested in attempted murder case

A court has ordered the arrest of former Law Minister Anisul Haque, former Social Welfare Minister Dr. Dipu Moni and Salman F Rahman, advisor to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in a case of attempted murder of young man Durjoy Ahmed in the Yulup area of ​​​​Central Badda, Dhaka during the July movement. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Ehsanul Islam ordered their arrest today (January 7).
The investigating officer of the case, SI Md. Golam Kibria Khan of Badda Police Station, applied to show their arrest. The accused were produced in court during the hearing today. State lawyer Assistant Public Prosecutor Muhammad Shamsuddoha Suman heard the hearing to show their arrest.
It is alleged that Durjoy Ahmed was shot while standing on the road at the end of the Post Office Lane of Madhya Badda Yulup under Badda Police Station on July 20 during the July movement. He lost both his eyes. He was seriously injured due to a blow to the back of his head. He underwent treatment at several hospitals. Later, Durjoy filed a case against 90 people, including Sheikh Hasina, in this incident.
