Andalib Rahman Partha warned the interim government.
The chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Andalib Rahman Partha has warned that any delay in the election in order to bring any party to power will result in an interim government like that of Awami League.
Partha said this while joining a rally organized on Victory Day in Banani of the capital on Monday.
The BJP chairman said, “I want to tell you something frankly, Yunus Saheb, to you and your government. Lately, we have been seeing that some of your advisors have reacted so negatively to us in some of their speeches, talking in such a way that it seems that this movement is only their movement.”
Andalib Rahman Partha addressed the advisors, “My brothers, you are younger than me. Bringing down a government and running a government are not the same thing. Brothers, you have to remember that you may have scored 20 runs off 10 balls, but the people of Bangladesh have scored 180 runs in 17 years. Seeing your disrespect, your words, your way of speaking, we think that there is a desire in you that you will be elected and stay in this government. I have no problem, you form a party, hold elections. But the elections cannot be delayed to bring any party to power.’
Andalib Rahman Partha warned, ‘The people of Bangladesh have not voted for 17 years. We are talking about the people. If you try to influence this government in any way to delay the elections, then you must remember that you are standing against the common people. If you stand against the common people, one thing is clear, Sheikh Hasina or the Awami League government has lost its mind in 17 years, it will not take you 17 minutes to lose your mind.’
