America is a major threat to international security
“The United States has become the biggest threat to international security through its coercive behavior and global interference,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said in his weekly press briefing, outlining recent diplomatic developments. He said that representatives of Turkey, Saudi Arabia and South Korea had participated in talks with the foreign minister in Tehran over the past two days. “The international arena is changing rapidly. However, the biggest threat in the region is the Israeli occupation regime,” Baghai said.
Referring to ongoing crimes in Lebanon, Syria and other countries, he said, “Despite the ceasefire, the number of violations is increasing rapidly. The ceasefire in Lebanon has been violated ‘millions’ of times and many civilians have been targeted and killed.” He added that the number of ceasefire violations in Gaza had reached 600.
Referring to the threatening behavior of the United States, Baghai said that Washington’s actions have made the country the biggest threat to global security. At that time, he cited examples of US pressure and intervention against Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Brazil and Mexico.
He also called the announcement of the closure of another country’s airspace “unprecedented and contrary to all international principles”, especially aviation safety rules. He also highlighted US pressure on African countries. For example, the demand that South Africa not participate in the G-20 summit. He added that, by unconditionally supporting Israel, the United States has practically become an accomplice in the crimes of the occupying government. According to him, under normal circumstances, the UN Security Council should have considered these actions as a clear violation of international peace and security and taken action.
