All offices opened today after 4 days of holiday
Offices, courts, banks, insurance, financial institutions and stock markets have opened today after a four-day holiday for Puja.
On the occasion of Durga Puja, the government declared a general holiday on last Thursday. And Friday and Saturday have been added to it. All the activities started on time from this day.
In the previous year only Vijaya Dashami was a public holiday, but now the interim government has declared a public holiday on Saptami day last Thursday. Employees enjoy a total of four days off including Friday and Saturday.
Even though bank branches were closed at that time, the supply of money at ATM booths increased. Funds are also transferred through internet banking. Bank security has been strengthened. However, capital market activities are closed due to non-bank transactions. Bank branches and sub-branches at land ports, sea ports and airports were kept open under special arrangements, but there was not much customer presence.
Meanwhile, according to the annual calendar of the Ministry of Education, the holiday in educational institutions will continue till October 17 (Thursday). However, since the next two days are Friday and Saturday, the educational institution will open on October 20. These include the Fateha-e-Yazdham holiday on October 15 and the Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima holidays on October 16.
