Hasina’s protocol officer was Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim

His name is Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim. Joined BCS Administration Cadre Service in 1986. After that, he became the protocol officer of the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. And this officer post appeared as Aladdin’s lamp in his life.

After 2009, despite not having any significant position in Awami politics, money kept coming to Nasim’s hands like a stream. Transfer of administration, earning started by posting. Bought several lighter ships.

They are still running in different waterways of the country. Later, he became the guardian of Feni Awami politics. Commissions keep coming. There is chaur – Nasim’s house next to Feni Cadet College was given to her as a ‘gift for her parents’ by Nizam Hazari, former Member of Parliament of Feni-2 Constituency.

Naseem, however, denied the matter – claiming that the house was built with his own money. The owner of that land has complained that the house has been converted into a duplex by expropriation from him. Nasim was the main sponsor of Nizam Hazari becoming Godfather from Chittagong gunsmith.

Nasim was introduced as ‘my guardian’ in gatherings. All the public representatives and administration officials of the district were loyal to Nasim, even if they did not hold important positions or responsibilities in the party or the government.

When going to submit the nomination papers for the 2024 national election, it was also seen that the then Chagalnaiya upazila executive officer Nasim was addressed as sir and requested to sit on the chair. At that time Feni’s first task on joining the DC-SP was to meet Nasim. Nasim’s parents were also seen taking prayers if they did not find him.

Naseem became the owner of thousands of crores of rupees by getting the post of Prime Minister’s protocol officer. He is recognized as a guardian in Awami politics of Feni. After August 5, his name has been graffitied on the walls – ‘PO Guardian is running away.’ Nasim became an Awami League Member of Parliament from Feni-1 constituency in the current 2024 National Parliament Election.
