    Air pollution situation in Lahore is dire, air in Dhaka is also ‘unhealthy’

    Air pollution is increasing day by day in different countries of the world. There is no news of relief in the air of megacity Dhaka.

    According to IQAir, a Switzerland-based organization that monitors global air quality, the capital Dhaka is ranked sixth in the world’s air pollution list with a score of 174 at 9:30 am today.

    Pakistan’s Lahore is at the top among 121 cities of the world in IQAir, an international air technology company, on Sunday. IQAir scores 650 on air quality. This air quality is considered very ‘hazardous’.

    At the same time, India’s Delhi ranks second in the list of most polluted cities in the world, with a score of 453. China’s Wuhan is in third position, with a score of 186, and another Chinese city, Beijing, is in fourth position with the same score. In addition, Kolkata, another city in India, is in fifth place, with a score of 175.

    A score of 51 to 100 is considered ‘moderate’ or ‘acceptable’ air quality according to the IQAir criteria. A score of 101 to 150 is considered ‘unhealthy for sensitive groups’. A score of 151 to 200 is ‘unhealthy’ air. And if the score is 201 to 300, he is considered to have ‘very unhealthy’ air. A score of 301 and above is considered ‘risky’.
