After father and son, mother and sister lose their lives in road accident

After the death of a father and son in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a private car in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar, mother Salma Ahmed and sister Sumaiya left the country never to return. The two died while undergoing treatment in the ICU of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital on Monday (August 25) morning, said Ramu Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin. The deceased are: Doctor Sumaiya (33) and Salma Ahmed (60). Among them, Sumaiya is the sister and mother of Barrister Yasin Ahmed. Earlier, on Sunday (August 24) at 6 pm, two people died in a road accident in front of Swapnatori Entertainment Center in Rashidnagar Union of Ramu Upazila on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway. They are: Barrister Yasin Ahmed (34) and his son Yazan (3). They live in the North Jatrabari area of ​​Dhaka and are residents of Tangail. OC Nasir Uddin said, “In the evening, a bus of Marsha Paribahan Service heading to Chittagong collided head-on with a private car coming from the opposite direction in front of Swapnatori Entertainment Center in Rashidnagar Union, Ramu. As a result, the private car overturned, killing one person on the spot and injuring five others. Locals rescued the injured and first took them to Ramu Upazila Health Complex. At that time, the doctor at the emergency department declared one of the injured children dead. Since their condition was critical, the doctor transferred the other injured to Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital. Of these, two more died on Monday morning. Their bodies are still at the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue, the OC also said.
