Actress hospitalised after husband stabs her indiscriminately
Popular Kannada television actress Manjula Shruti was brutally attacked by her husband over a marital dispute. The tragic incident took place in Bangalore, India. According to a report by Indian media outlet NDTV, the South Indian star was admitted to a hospital in Bangalore in a critical condition. She is currently undergoing treatment there. It is learnt that Manjula was subjected to physical and mental torture at her home on July 4. At one point during an argument with her husband Amrish, he sprinkled chilli powder in the actress’ eyes. After that, he started stabbing her indiscriminately with a knife. Hearing Manjula’s screams, the neighbours rushed to the spot. The injured actress was quickly admitted to a local hospital. The incident has created a sensation in the Kannada industry. The accused husband has been arrested by the Kannada police. Initially, they believe that Amrish tortured his wife in such a brutal manner due to a marital dispute. Incidentally, Amrish and Manjula got married 20 years ago out of love. They have two children.
