Accusations of running a mafia system in Muradnagar against Asif Mahmud: Nasir
Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir said that Advisor Asif Mahmud has established a mafia system in Muradnagar, Comilla. He is running Muradnagar as he likes. He told reporters this after visiting 13 leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates, including senior joint convener of Muradnagar upazila in Comilla, Nazim Mahmud, at the Comilla jail on Monday (August 4) afternoon. Nasir said that those who held anti-fascist movements in July and August, those who have served jail time in the last 17 years, Asif Mahmud has sent them to jail even after August 5. Although there is positive politics in the whole of Bangladesh, there is no positive politics in Muradnagar. He further said that although no leader and activist of the fascist Awami government is in jail in Muradnagar, 13 leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations have been kept in jail. He demanded the release of the 13 arrested leaders and activists as soon as possible. Nasir Uddin said that upon hearing the news of the arrest of Chhatra Dal senior joint convener Nazim Mahmud, his loving mother died of a heart attack, which is very painful. At this time, Comilla Metropolitan BNP President Udbatul Bari Abu, General Secretary Yusuf Molla Tipu, leaders and activists of various units including Comilla Metropolitan, South District, North District were present. After the meeting in the prison, Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nazim Mahmud visited the grave of his mother and met with his family.
