ACC officials disguised as patients at hospital, evidence of various irregularities found
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted a drive at Savar Upazila Health Complex based on numerous complaints that money is being taken to buy medicines and undergo treatment at government hospitals.
During the drive, no official in charge of the health complex was found and the ACC found evidence of several irregularities including irregularities, negligence of duty and unhygienic internal and external environment of the hospital.
A 3-member team led by ACC Dhaka Region-2 Anti-Corruption Commission Assistant Director Arif Ahmed conducted the drive from morning to noon today (November 6) on Thursday (November 6).
Later, while talking to reporters, Anti-Corruption Commission Assistant Director Arif Ahmed said, “We have been coming to the hospital since morning disguised as ordinary people patients. During this period, we have noticed several irregularities including various irregularities, absenteeism, negligence of duty and unhygienic internal and external environment of the hospital by the officials in charge of the health complex. We have noted the issues and will take necessary action on the issues.”
