A woman’s leg was severed in a road accident in Narayanganj
A woman was seriously injured in a road accident on the Signboard-Chashara Link Road in Narayanganj. The accident occurred on the east side of the underpass adjacent to the Jalkuri bus stand in Siddhirganj on Sunday morning (November 9). It is learned that the woman’s leg was severed.
Locals said that an unidentified woman (24) among the two riders was thrown off when a covered van coming from Signboard towards Chashara hit a motorcycle traveling on the same road. At that time, the wheel of the covered van went over her right leg and her leg was severed below the knee. After the accident, local passers-by quickly rescued the injured woman and sent her to Pangu Hospital in Dhaka.
After the incident, the police seized the covered van and the motorcycle involved in the accident from the scene. Siddhirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahinur Alam confirmed the incident and told us that the accident occurred in the morning. At that time, the woman on the motorcycle was seriously injured. His leg was severed in the accident. He was later rescued and sent to Pangu Hospital in Dhaka. Both the motorcycle and the covered van have been seized.
