A woman was gang-raped by her boyfriend and his three accomplices in Taltoli upazila of Barguna. Police said that after falling in love, the woman was taken to her house and raped on the promise of marriage. Later, on receiving information, the police rescued her from the scene. On Wednesday night, the victim filed a case with Taltoli police station, accusing her boyfriend Md. Hiron Hawlader Ripon and 3 other unidentified people. Earlier, the incident took place on Tuesday night (February 3) in the Barapara area of ​​Panchkoralia union of Taltoli upazila. Accused Hiron Hawlader Ripon is the son of Manik Hawlader of Barapara area of ​​Pachakoralia union of Barapara upazila. According to the case report, accused Md. Hiron Hawlader Ripon met the accused Md. Hiron Hawlader Ripon 15/16 days ago under the cover of a fish in Mohipur area of ​​Patuakhali. Later, Ripon collected the woman’s personal mobile number. Later, while talking to the woman on mobile phone at different times, he also proposed marriage. Then on Tuesday afternoon, Ripon took the victim woman from Mahipur on a motorcycle to an empty house in Borapara area of ​​Pachkoralia union of the upazila, kept her there and forcibly raped her at night by threatening her with various things. After that, 3 more unknown persons entered the house, with Ripon’s consent, held the victim’s hands and feet and forcibly raped her multiple times. Later, after receiving information, the police rescued the woman from the spot. In this incident, the victim woman filed a case with Taltoli police station as a plaintiff, accusing the accused Ripon and 3 more unknown persons. In this regard, Taltoli police station officer-in-charge (OC) Ashadur Rahman said, “A case has been filed on the charge of rape on the pretext of marriage. The name of 1 person and 3 more unknown persons have been named as accused in the case. The police are working to arrest the accused.”
