9 police inspectors retire on government order

The government has retired 9 officers of the rank of police inspector (unarmed) who served during the previous government. On Sunday (August 10), 9 separate notifications regarding their retirement were published on the website of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. On the orders of the President, the separate notifications issued by the Police-2 Branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs were signed by Deputy Secretary Nasimul Gani on Thursday (August 7). The retired police officers are Police Inspector Md. Quddus Fakir, Md. Nurul Islam, Md. Kamal Hossain, S. M. Kamruzzaman, Md. Selimuzzaman, Md. Shamim Hossain, Md. Abdul Latif, Md. Abu Bakar Siddique and Mohammad Mamun Or Rashid. The notification states that these officers have been retired from government service in the public interest in accordance with the provisions of Section 45 of the Government Services Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018). It is also mentioned in the notification issued in the public interest that they will receive retirement benefits as per the rules.
