8 people die of dengue, 778 admitted

Eight more people have died of dengue across the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 778 people have been admitted to various hospitals. This information was given in a dengue-related press release sent by the Health Emergency, Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (November 23).
It said that among the patients admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 83 are from Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 134 from Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 121 from Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 129 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 81 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 112 from Khulna division (outside the City Corporation), 44 from Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 48 from Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation), 19 from Rangpur division (outside the City Corporation) and seven from Sylhet division (outside the City Corporation).
In the last 24 hours, 1,111 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital. A total of 87,442 patients have been discharged from the hospital so far this year. This year, a total of 90,264 people have been infected with dengue as of November 23. Of these, 62.3 percent are men and 37.7 percent are women. Eight more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours. A total of 364 people have died of dengue so far this year. From January to December 31, 2024, a total of 101,214 people have been infected with dengue and a total of 575 people have died of dengue. From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people have died of dengue and a total of 321,179 people have been hospitalized due to dengue.
